Cherokee County Now Has Four Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 / Latest Statewide Numbers Released

1,261 – As of Thursday afternoon, that was the latest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the state, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.

Cherokee County now has its 4th confirmed case.  Bear in mind the Alabama Department of Public Health does NOT provide information concerning the city infected persons reside in within each county.

Regarding confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our vicinity:

According to the ADPH – Cleburne County has 6; DeKalb County 8; Calhoun County now has 12 and Etowah County, 13.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health – their number of confirmed deaths remains at 17 with 32 others, referred to as “reported deaths”, still under investigation. 

8,619 people had reportedly been tested in Alabama, as of April 1st.
