Cherokee County School Board Hold Their Regular Meeting On Tuesday

The Cherokee County School Board held their regular meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

Approved agenda items included the approval of the January 26, meeting minutes in addition to the receipt of the   December 2020 Bank Reconciliation, Cash Balance, and Financial Report.

The board also adopted a Proclamation Declaring February 2021 as Career and Technical Education Month  and approved Deneen Jimmerson as the Superintendent’s 2020-2021 Sick Leave Committee Representative .

Other business included the approval of a Subscription with Simbli by eBOARDsolutions for Meeting and Policy Modules  and approval to Declare Digital LED School Sign for Cedar Bluff School as a Public Works Project – Funded by Safety Allocation in addition to the Hallway Flooring Project at Cedar Bluff School as a Public Works Project – Funded by Safety Allocation.

The 2021-2022 Mathematics Textbook Committee Representatives were approved to include: A. Garrett Crane, Shane McFry, Jennifer Sawyer, and Cathy Wilson – Cedar Bluff School B. Sharlene Pollard – Centre Elementary School C. Jordyn Pollard and April Young – Centre Middle School D. Julie Graves and Melissa Pharr – Cherokee County High School E. Wendy Burkhead, Lacie Keith, and Gail Williams – Gaylesville School F. Tracy Chambers, Felicia Cleland, Sabrina Jones, and Heather King – Sand Rock School G.
