Cherokee County School Board Meeting 6.11.2019

The Cherokee County Board of Education held their regular meeting this week. The board received for review a copy of the 2019 Bank Reconciliation, Cash Balance and Financial report in addition to the 2019 Accounts Payable for May.

The board also received their 2018 Fiscal Year Audit report and approved a budget amendment for the 2019 Fiscal Year Budget.

Also presented for review was the 2019-2020 Salary Schedules, Student Handbook Code of Conduct and the Employee Handbook.

The following items were approved as public works projects; flooring project at Cherokee County High School, door lock project at Sand Rock School and the intercom system at Sand Rock School.

Out of State travel was approved for Leah Nelson and the CCHS Varsity Girls Basketball Team to attend Basketball Camp in Clarksville, TN June 17 – 19.

The board also accepted bids for a Mahindra tractor from Foothills Tractor in the amount of $22,000 for the Cherokee County Career & Tech Center in addition to a double stack Convection Oven from Central Restaurant Products for Cherokee County High School.

The board also approved to declare a freezer/cooler combo at Spring Garden School as surplus property.
