Board members also received for review the 2016-2017 salary schedule and accepted bids with the option to extend for two additional years from Flowers Baking Company for bread services, from Borden Dairy Company for milk services and from Forestwood Farms for produce services.
Personnel items approved included the acceptance of the retirement of Cooperative Education Coordinator Randy Rainey and the resignation of Nancy Stiefel McMahan at Sand Rock School.
Transfers by Agreement included; Mary Beth Fletcher from elementary teacher at Spring Garden to elementary school at Gaylesville School, Heather Maddox from elementary teacher at Centre Elementary to elementary teacher at Spring Garden, Lisa Miller from 1st Grade Teacher at Centre Elementary School to Instructional Coach at Centre Elementary and Jennifer Lockridge from Instructional Coach at Centre Elementary School to 1st Grade Teacher at Centre Elementary School.
Certified Placements for the 2016-2017 School Year included; Deidra Davis – General Science Teacher at Cedar Bluff School, Adam Lawerence – Math Teacher at Cedar Bluff School, Dustin Duncan – Math Teacher at Cedar Bluff School, Mindy Hittle-McNair – Agriscience Teacher at Cherokee County High School and Kaylee Ward – Elementary Teacher at Spring Garden.
