Cherokee County School Board Names New Principal At Gaylesville

The Cherokee County Board of Education has named Terry Gilbreath as the new Principal at Gaylesville School – that announcement came during the Tuesday meeting of the school board. Gilbreath will replace former Principal Scott Hayes who has been named as the new Transportation Supervisor.

The board received for review the 2019 accounts payable report, the October 2019 Bank Reconciliation, Cash Balance and Financial Statement, proposed revised Coaching Supplement requirements and responsibilities, the 2021 Academic calendar, 2021 Work calendar, revised Medication Policy, revised Anaphylaxis Policy and the revised Policy Manual.

The board also approved an agreement with Alabama Best Pratcices Center and Centre Middle School for Professional Learning Services January 2020 – September 2020. Also approved was the 2019-2020 Energy Savings Budget Amendment for Cherokee County High School.

Bids were accepted from Wittichen Supply for HVAC units and from CAMaster Inc, for a CNC Router.

The board also approved out of state travel for students.
