The Cherokee County Alzheimer’s Association was recognized today by the East Central Alabama Alzheimer’s Association for outstanding performance in raising funds for National Alzheimer’s Association.

Margaret Eubanks presented Courtney White a check for $6,000 raised by the local group in 2014.

White passed out Certificates, Tee Shirts and Medals to outstanding individuals at a ceremony held at Cherokee Village Assisted Living Center.

Those awards went to Margaret Eubanks and Edna Richardson for their efforts.

Eubanks also presented Edna Richardson with a plaque recognizing her for hard work and dedication from 2011 through 2014 in fund raising.
Mrs. Richardson has raised more than $20,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association through the sales of tee shirts and donations.
