Cherokee/DeKalb County Assistant District Attorney Scott Llyod Announces His Retirement

Longtime Assistant District Attorney Scott Lloyd has officially retired following 25 years of service.

Lloyd has served the Ninth Judicial Circuit for Cherokee/DeKalb Counties since 1996. His duties included felony drug prosecution, child support enforcement in Cherokee County, and assisting with administration of the Cherokee County office.

Scott will being his own private law practice beginning October, 1st and said that he looks forward to continuing to serve the people of the area.

Scott Lloyd is a1996 graduate of the University Of Georgia School Of Law and a 1993 graduate of Auburn University with a B.A. in Economics as a University Honors Scholar.

Scott is a 1989 graduate of Plainview High School.

A number of Scott’s friends, co-workers and family members were able to attend a reception in his honor held at the Cherokee County Courthouse on Friday afternoon.
