A Cherokee EMS ambulance was involved in a two-vehicle crash in the early morning hours of Tuesday in neighboring Etowah County.
The collision between the emergency vehicle and that car took place on Highway 278 in the four-lane divide somewhere around 5:30am, with the impact causing the ambulance to roll over onto its side.
Reportedly the ambulance did not have a patient on-board at the time the wreck took place.
Fortunately no one in the EMS vehicle was hurt but one person from the car was reportedly transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
