The road was shut down for several hours after a 2008 Mack truck hauling approximately 10,000 live chickens overturned on County Road 13 near the County Road 239 intersection at Mays Crossroads on Monday night. The driver, listed on that Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report as being a resident of Mentone, Alabama, was not injured.
EMA officials, Spring Creek firefighters and Alabama State Troopers responded.
The cause of the wreck, which occurred at 8:05pm remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
