On Tuesday, voters in Albertville gave that measure a thumbs up, with a total of 1,162 “yes” votes being cast while the “no’s” weighed in at 1,001 votes meanwhile in Guntersville those numbers weren’t nearly as close. with “yes’s” more than doubling the “no’s”, by a margin of 940 to 409.
Guntersville Mayor Leigh Dollar says that the city council will hold a meeting to discuss and create an ordinance for sale hours. She added that there will be a public hearing during that meeting, so those in the community can offer input.
Similar plans are reportedly being made in Albertville.
Boaz voters will be going to the polls this October to vote on seven day sales there.
