The Centre City Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday night. They approved the minutes from the previous two meetings.

At the recommendation of the Budget Committee, the council voted to give city employees a once a year raise. A resolution was adopted concerning the city park grant; this resolution will designate LADD Engineering as the Engineer for the project.

The council also approved to replace the awnings at city at a cost of $1,700, Evans Co. will be doing the work. Mayor Wilkie said that it has been a number of years since the awnings have been replaced or repaired.

The council also approved a motion to change the location of the December, 11 meeting to the Cherokee County Health and Rehab Activity Building due the city Christmas Party and also voted to cancel the December 25 meeting due to the Christmas Holiday.

A motion was also made to move the K-9 unit and kennel from a 2013 Chevy Tahoe to a 2015 Tahoe.

The City Council is continuing to seek additional information concerning vandalism at the City Park and at the Dixie Youth Baseball Field.

Currently the city is offering a reward of $500 for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the vandalism.

Centre Mayor Tony Wilkie said that someone ripped the partition off the wall in the bathrooms at the park and completely tore three sinks off of the wall damaging water and sewer lines in the bathrooms at the Dixie Youth Fields.

Anyone with any information can call Centre City Hall or the Centre Police Department.
