A Cloudland woman was fatally injured in an accident on Old Highway 337 on Saturday.
According to Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader, the victim, who was identified as 50 year old Shelia Gail Hensley Rape was ejected from her Ford F-150 after it left the roadway, struck an embankment and then rolled – eventually landing on its top in a field.
That accident took place at 7:20pm near Mitchell Road.
Chattooga County Coroner Earl Rainwater pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
