Brace yourself – the coldest air of the winter has yet to arrive in Alabama, but it’s on its way and is expected to arrive by late this weekend.
We could possible experience single-digit temps in north Alabama late Sunday into Monday morning according to the National Weather Service – we could even possibly see light snow flurries late Saturday, but no accumulation is expected.
We should see warmer than normal temperatures before the cold front comes in with highs in the lower 60’s Friday and Saturday.
Our high in Cherokee County for Sunday is expected to hit 40. Maybe.
It’ll also be windy, making it feel even colder – the long-range forecast is calling for a return to moderate temperatures next week though.
