COLLINSVILLE – Colton Wills scored 23 points to lead the Collinsville Panthers to a 47-45 victory over Hokes Bluff in the Class 3A, Area 12 boys basketball tournament on Tuesday.
Malachi Orr added 11 points for the Panthers. Billy Briggs tossed in seven points and Dawson Cothran finished with six points.
Jordan Presley posted 20 points, including 4 3-pointers, to lead the Eagles. Drake Rainey added nine points. Kyle Patterson had eight points and Aaron Nix finished with six points.
Hokes Bluff held an 11-6 advantage at the end of the first quarter and a 24-21 lead at halftime. Collinsville rallied to take a 36-30 third-quarter edge and held on in the fourth for the final.
The Eagles made 14-of-15 free throws, while Collinsville connected on 6-of-7 from the charity stripe.
Collinsville travels to Geraldine for the area championship game on Friday at 6 p.m.
