Collinsville High School Placed on Lock Down Wednesday Following Threatening Phone Call

Officials at Collinsville High School will be on heightened alert in the coming days, following a threat which resulted in the facility being placed on lockdown Wednesday.

The following statement was issued by the school in the wake of the incident:

This afternoon, the staff of Collinsville School received a phone call indicating a threat to the school. The administration of the district and the school, along with local law enforcement, acted quickly to investigate this threat. The school was placed in lock down. After a review and evaluation of the situation, it was found that there was no immediate danger to the school, and the lock down was lifted. We will remain at a level of heightened awareness in the days to come, as student safety is paramount.

Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the threatening call.
