A Collinsville man was arrested at the scene of a single vehicle accident in Cedar Bluff on Saturday night. Initially, Cherokee 911 received a call reporting a reckless driver coming into to Cedar Bluff on Highway 9 North and a short time later received another call that the same vehicle had crashed into a ditch near Trammell Welding.

Cedar Bluff Police and Firefighters, Cherokee EMS and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene at 9:15 p.m. six miles north of Cedar Bluff.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report the mishap involved a 2003 Dodge truck driven by 43 year old Collinsville resident Steven Wayne Campbell. Campbell was arrested at the scene and taken to the Cherokee County Detention Center by State Troopers charged with DUI.
