A Collinsville man was charged with DUI following a single vehicle rollover accident that occurred on Sunday at the top of the mountain approximately 20 feet off of Highway 68 West on DeKalb County Road 6 near Sand Rock.

The Sand Rock Fire Department, Floyd EMS and Rescue Squad personnel responded to the scene with assistance provided by Leesburg and Centre Police, Collinsville Fire and Police and the DeKalb Ambulance service.

Officers arrived on the scene and learned that the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene on foot.

Leesburg Officer Jamie Chatman along with Centre Officers Zach Fife and Billy Flynt located the man at a mobile home approximately a mile from the crash scene.

26 year old Juan Vicente was taken into custody by Alabama State Troopers and booked in at the DeKalb County Jail on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was being held on a $3,500.
