Collinsville Police Searching for Suspect in Identity Theft Case

Collinsville Police are currently seeking the assistance of the public in locating a 21 year old Gadsden resident who is wanted in connection with an identity theft case.  According to a news release issued by Deputy Chief Rex Leath warrants were obtained June 5th for Damyon Justyn Mincey after a roommate of filed a report May 30th, alleging he had withdrawn approximately $450 from his financial institution without his permission. 

Leath states Mincey was able to conduct the transactions by providing bank tellers with the victim’s name and social security number.  

Mincey could be facing additional charges with both Rainbow City and Gadsden Police.

He is described as a white male standing about 5’11’’, weighing around 210 pounds.
