Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Statewide Now Over 7,000 / Cherokee County Number Remains at 15

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state has now reached 7,068 – with a total of 272 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 990 people have been hospitalized thus far, and the number tested stands a 87,976

Cherokee County currently has 15 confirmed cases out of 245 people having been tested; in DeKalb County there have been 76 positive results out of 959 tests; following 1,812 tests in Etowah County there are 139 confirmed cases; and Calhoun County has 93 confirmed cases after a total of 1,393 people being tested there.
