Convenience Store Audit Reveals $20,000 to be Missing

Anniston Police continue to investigate the theft of some $20,000 from a convenience store.

A recent audit revealed the money was missing, having apparently been taken sometime between July the 1st and October 31st of this year, from the Samco store – located in the 100 block of Old Gadsden Highway.

According to the Anniston Star – the investigators have thus far declined to comment any further – citing the on-going investigation.

Any suspect in that case could face a felony charge of first degree theft.
