A teenager was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 411 (Gadsden Highway) at around 4:35 Thursday afternoon.
According to Jerome Poole with the Floyd County Police Department, a 1995 Honda Accord was traveling westbound and the driver was negotiating a curve when he lost control, traveled across the eastbound lane, went off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The driver, identified as Marshall Watson, a junior at Coosa High School, was killed.
He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
