Coronavirus Update| 13 Confirmed Cases Of COVID-19 In Cherokee County

The number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Cherokee County is now at 13. There have been a total of 108 total tests and no deaths reported in Cherokee County. During a news conference on Tuesday morning, Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers reported that those numbers represent 7 active cases, 5 cases that have recovered and are no longer in quarantine and considered non infectious.

Director Rogers said that the Alabama Department of Public is discussing the possibility of a drive-thru testing clinic in Cherokee County, the time and location has not yet been set but that information will be released once plans are finalized. Current testing sites in Cherokee County include Main Street Urgent Care in Centre. To find out if other medical clinics across the area are testing for COVID-19 you will need to call prior to visiting that facility.
