“Could be!” Bryan Cranston on Walter White’s re-appearance in the ‘Breaking Bad’ movie

AMC(NEW YORK) — Bryan Cranston picked up his second Tony Award on Sunday night for his starring role in the stage version of Network, but now he’s giving some thought to the role that made him a household name: Walter White.

In an chat with Entertainment Tonight, Cranston played coy about whether there were any plans for his high-school teacher-turned meth kingpin to pop up in the planned Breaking Bad movie that will stream on Netfix.

“Well, rigor mortis has a way of allowing that to happen,” he joked about the interviewer’s choice of the term “popping up.”

If you need a spoiler alert by now, consider yourself warned: Cranston’s character didn’t survive the acclaimed show’s 2013 finale. But that doesn’t necessarily spell the end, he hints.

Cranston says that White “could” appear in the movie, adding, “Could be [in] a flashback, or a flash forward. I’m still dead Walter White — I don’t know what [could happen.]”

Since the movie’s a sequel, reportedly centering on Emmy-winner Aaron Paul’s character, Jesse Pinkman, a flashback certainly isn’t out of the question, but all involved are keeping mum.

It’s also not clear when the movie will debut on the streaming service.
