Two people wanted here in Cherokee County are now behind bars in Floyd County, Georgia

According to reports Jackie Randall Porter and Patricia Jane Porter, both 66, residing at 207 Alexander Avenue, were arrested Saturday, October 14th – charged with swindling families out of thousands of dollars following the discovery of four victims identified by Investigator Amy Nails.

Charges related to seven additional victims were added Thursday, after Investigators sifted through stacks of business and banking records.

The couple allegedly ran a business off the Cedartown Highway and took down payments – but never made good on putting up the buildings they promised to provide in return.

Jackie Porter has been charged with Exploitation of Elder Persons and Theft by Conversion of Funds for Real Estate Improvements – meanwhile, Patricia Porter has been charged with the same offenses, because she was part of the scheme in their operation of Porterbuilt LLC, 5748 Cedartown Highway.

Police believe that there are more than the eleven victims that have thus far been identified as being defrauded over the three years that the couple has been operating in the southern portion of Floyd County.

Prior to moving to Floyd County they were living in and operating out of Breman, Georgia.

Investigator Nails also has charges pending against the couple’s son, Payton – alleging Theft by Conversion.

Anyone having information regarding his current whereabouts or wishing to make a report concerning any dealings with the Porter’s can call (706) 314-0758.

Here in Cherokee County, both Jackie and Patricia Porter are wanted on charges of Theft by Deception 2nd Degree.
