COVID-19 Update for Cherokee County as of March, 31st, 2021

The latest COVID Dashboard numbers from the Alabama Department of Public Health shows that Cherokee County has had 15 positive cases reported over the last two weeks and a total of 449 tests administered during that same time period.

Since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020, there have been a total of 43 confirmed deaths related to the Coronavirus with 32 of those confirmed and 11 being probable.

According to Alabama’s School COVID K-12 Dashboard there have been no cases reported in Cherokee County Schools during the past week although that is subject to change.

In Cherokee County, there have been a total of 7,356 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine administered with 4,648 receiving one or more dose and 3,392 people who have completed the vaccine series.

ADPH is currently conducting a drive-thru vaccine clinic each Wednesday at the Cherokee County Rescue Squad Building in Centre by appointment only.

The Alabama Department of Public Health Risk Indicator Dashboard shows that there has been a decline in cases over the last two weeks, Cherokee County is currently in the low risk category.
