The Alabama Department of Public Health reports that there has been 8,558 COVID Vaccines administered in Cherokee County so far. 5,575 have received one or more doses and 4,014 people have been fully vaccinated. 

3,128,745 doses of the vaccine have been delivered to Alabama. 

Several local medical providers and pharmacies are offering the vaccine to those that meet eligibility requirements. 

In Cedar Bluff, Johnson’s RX Pharmacy had been offering the Johnson and Johnson shot however, they suspended those due to an investigation into that particular brand. Pharmacy Techs say that they are in the process of trying to obtain a shipment of the Moderna Vaccine but do not have it available yet.  

Cherokee Medical Center, and the Floyd Cherokee Medical Center Rural Health Clinic, located at 395 Northwood Drive, Centre, are now scheduling Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

The hospital is offering vaccines to any eligible member of the community.

Appointment dates currently available are April 16th and 19th, 9:00am – 2:00pm.

The Rural Health Clinic Northwood is offering vaccines to current patients only.

Dean’s Pharmacy in Centre is offering the Moderna Vaccine. CVS Pharmacy in Centre is offering vaccines by appointment only but according to the CVS website they are fully booked.

Lakeside Primary Care located on the Bypass across from Jack’s is offering the Modern Vaccine by appointment only. Main Street Family Care in Centre is offering the Moderna Vaccine by appointment. 

Perry Medical Clinic now has the two-shot series Moderna Covid vaccine available for the public.  If you are in need of a Moderna Covid vaccine, please call the office at 256-927-3607 and fill out the patient information sheet over the phone.  Your first shot appointment will be made for you at that time. 

Wal-Mart in Centre is also administering a limited number of COVID Vaccines daily.
