iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — The newest workout trend can take your fitness old-school — or more accurately, pre-school: CRAWLING.
“Original Strength” cofounders Geoff Neupert and Tim Anderson tell Cosmopolitan that motoring around as you did when you were a tyke “presses reset” on your body and can undo years of aches and pains.
Think of how a baby gets around when she’s just starting to get moving: squatting, sitting up, standing, stretching, and yes, crawling — all of which can be integrated into a grown-up workout — and the idea is spreading: there are “Pressing Reset” workshops springing up across the country.
Trainers and other experts say it’s not child’s play: crawling gets you moving, works your core and breaks you from a usual training routine.
