Crews Will Now Work Seven Days A Week As Work Continues On The Cedar Bluff Bridge

CB BRIDGE 2

On Friday WEIS Radio News spoke to Mark Terry who is the Alabama Department of Transportation Supervisor, overseeing the bridge painting project currently underway in Cedar Bluff.

Terry said he would like to inform the public that crews will now begin working seven days a week until the project is complete and at this time there is not a timeline set as to when the work will be completed.

He went on to say that the crew is currently finishing the sand blasting and priming of the north bound side of the bridge and once that is complete they will then have to break down and move to south bound side to sandblast and prime – once that is complete the actual painting will then take place.

Crews will continue to accommodate emergency vehicle traffic when needed and will continue to minimize wait times – message boards have been posted on both the north and south bound lanes of the bridge for larger vehicles which may be hauling loads over 12 feet wide.
