A Crossville police officer is on leave after being arrested on charges of domestic violence.

34-year-old Jason Wade Johnson was booked into the DeKalb County Jail last Monday in connection with an alleged altercation with his wife.

The officer had recently filed for divorce.

The charges come after a complaint was filed by Anna Johnson.

Jason was then served with a warrant.

He remains with the Crossville Police Department, but officials there said he is on leave with pay pending the outcome of the court case.

No court date has been set.
