Crossville Rescue Squad Building Destroyed By Fire

The Crossville Rescue Squad building was destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon. The building is situated behind the Crossville Town Hall. Reports about the fire came before 5 p.m.

Crews were originally responding to a vehicle fire when the building fire became noticeable. Officials said the fire started in the back-right corner of the building and then quickly spread.

Three vehicles and the city’s supply of Christmas lights are known to have been destroyed. Crews are sifting through the remains of the building to see what, if any, equipment can be salvaged.

No one was inside when the fire erupted and injuries were reported. An investigation into the cause is underway.
