David Hartline Book Signing Events for “The Real Tarzan – The Legendary Arthur P. Tarzan White”

David Hartline was recently at the Cherokee County Public Library in Centre, signing copies of his brand new book:  “The Real Tarzan – the University of Alabama’s Legendary Arthur P. ‘Tarzan’ White which tells the amazing story of long-time Cherokee County resident Tarzan White, considered to be one of the finest athletes ever to come out of the state of Alabama.

The following is an excerpt from Hartline’s August 23rd visit with Jerry Baker on the WEIS Radio morning show, just after the book went on sale:

During his book-signing at the library, Hartline’s down-to-earth attitude and likeability was very much on display – two of the attributes which helped forge the bond between him and White.

One of those in attendance was Mr. Bobby Raines, a long-time friend of Hartline’s who goes way back to the beginning of David’s writing career:

Hartline is best known for “What a Soldier Gives” – outlining his experiences before, during and after serving in Vietnam.  That no holds barred look at life, and politics, in that era went on to become a best-seller, building a large following across the nation for the author – with each following book receiving rave reviews as well.

Mr. Raines said he also knew Tarzan White:

David Hartline was a close, personal friend of White’s for some 30 years, and it’s all there in his new book “The Real Tarzan”.
