DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Office Searching For Vehicle In Connection To Home Invasion, Murder

Deputies were able to locate the blue 2008 Dodge Caliber in connection to a home invasion and murder that happened Thursday morning in DeKalb County.

Investigators are searching for a person who killed a woman in her DeKalb County home. Deputies spent most of Thursday at the scene in the Kilpatrick community gathering evidence and trying to find out how many people were involved.

At least one witness was taken to the department for questioning on Thursday morning. Deputies located the blue 2008 Dodge Caliber in the Kilpatrick area and are processing the vehicle for evidence.

After responding to a 911 call sheriff officials found a Hispanic woman who had been shot inside the home. Initial reports were that a man came to the home, tied up the homeowner, and shot his wife. That sent multiple agencies searching for possible suspects.

Deputies have talked with several neighbors in the area and in Marshall County. At this time, officials say the husband is cooperating with the investigation.
