Deputies Graduation Law Enforcement Academy

Sheriff Jimmy Harris is proud to announce the graduation of Stephen Michael Berry, Jerry Weston Fortner and Dustin Levi Summerford Jones from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Academy

The Graduation was held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center.

This Academy is a 14 month every other weekend academy and it takes a lot of time and dedication to complete. The Academy started out with over 50 students and had a total of 36 students to graduate, among those there was 18 from a Sheriff’s Office and 18 from a Police Department, from all over the State.

Sheriff Harris stated, “I want to congratulate Deputies Berry, Fortner and Jones, I know they will do an outstanding job for the citizens of our county.”
