DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Assists in Jacksonville Recovery Efforts

NEWS RELEASE FROM DEKALB COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in the wake of Monday’s storms (March 19th).  Several Deputies along with a number of Investigators as well as the Reserve and Mounted units traveled to Jacksonville in order to provide assistance in recovery efforts.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states “The Sheriff’s Office goes out and assists surrounding counties when they request our assistance, whether it be due to storms, locating missing persons, or just needing assistance during events such as the Talladega races, Fishing Rodeo at Dolphin Island or at Mobile’s Mardi Gras. Sheriff’s Offices and Municipalities are here to assist each other, that’s what we are here for.”
