A deputy for the Walker County, Georgia Sheriff’s Office was arrested late last week.
On Thursday (January 28th) 39 year old Zachary Williams of neighboring Chattooga County was taken into custody after Walker County authorities asked that the GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigations) look into allegations of rape and incest by Williams.
That request was issued back on September 8th of last year (2020) – and Williams has now been arrested on those charges; he was subsequently placed on leave from his position as a deputy for the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is on-going.
