Despite some rainfall Cherokee County residents braved the elements as one of the most popular holiday traditions once again delighted kids from 1 to 92 (or thereabouts) in downtown Centre Saturday.
The annual Cherokee County Christmas Parade featured more than 70 entries from area businesses, schools, community organizations, civic clubs, and church groups.
The parade was led by State Representative Richard Lindsey and his wife Johna, this year’s Grand Marshall.
The parade also featured antique cars, motorcycles, horses and various public safety vehicles.…..and of course Santa Claus made an appearance, riding atop the City of Centre’s Ladder 9 Truck.
