What had started out as simply bad – quickly went to worse, for one Ft Payne woman last weekend. According to Ft Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum, Ashley Rae Morrison, age 31 – was arrested at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of Public Intoxication on Saturday.
A follow up investigation of her personal effects, led to charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Officers say that she had in her possession a pill bottle with the label missing – the pills were identified as acetaminophen/hydrocodone.
Morrison is employed by the Department of Human Resources.
