DOLPHUS LEE “BONE HEAD” WASHINGTON, age 95 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, January 7th at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 10th at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Price, Pastor James Wells and Pastor Michael Watters officiating; burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The Body will lie-in-state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers include Tim Hays, Leon Fife, Thomas Green, Blake Broome, Orlando Reese, Howard Cowser, Hurley Foster.

Survivors include sons, Billy (Helen) Washington of Gadsden, Walter Washington of Atlanta, Johnny Ray Washington of Centre, Danny (Queen) Washington of Centre, Ernest Washington of Birmingham; daughters, Pamela Washington of Gadsden, Greta Washington of Leesburg; brothers-in-law, H.C. (Mildred) Johnson of Centre, Leroy Johnson of Texas; sister, Eva Ragland Of Ohio; sister-in-law, Ethel Carson Johnson of Centre; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces special friends, Terry Dupree, Georgia Hunter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Artie B. Washington; grandchildren, Myeeshia Washington, Danny Washington, Jr, Martinez Washington; sisters, Magnolia Kennon, Dorthy Mae Landrum and Lou Washington; brother, Jay Washington.

Mr. Washington was a native of Floyd County, GA, the son of the late John and Dora Rains Washington; he was a farmer and a member of Providence Baptist Church.
