Doris Nell Ball, age 85 of Centre, passed away Wednesday, October 18th at Cherokee Health & Rehab.

Funeral services will be 2:PM Friday, October 20th at Tates Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Lynn Hughston officiating; burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:PM Friday at the church.

Pallbearers include Gerald Rieger, Gary Smith, Max Wynn, Jimmy St Clair, Larry St Clair, Bret Keasler, Phillip Abney, David Estes.

Survivors include her son, David Ball of Georgia; sister, Betty Jean Hubbard of Youngsville, NC; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Reed of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces, nephews & cousins; caregiver and special cousin, Alice Trammell of Centre.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Reed.

Mrs. Ball was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Woodie and Maggie Palmer Reed, was a civil service worker at Warner Robbins Airforce Base and was a member of Tates Chapel Baptist Church.
