Dr. Martin Lynch Named Director of Outpatient Wound Care at Floyd

Martin Lynch, M.D., has been named Director of Outpatient Wound Care at Floyd.

Dr. Lynch earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed his residencies in general and thoracic surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Lynch completed a fellowship in hyperbaric medicine at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and a fellowship in critical care at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He has been practicing medicine in Rome since 1991. Dr. Lynch has worked at the Redmond Outpatient Wound Clinic and Floyd Outpatient Wound Clinic, and was a cardiac surgeon with Harbin Clinic.

He is American Board of Medical Specialties certified in general surgery, thoracic surgery, surgical critical care and hyperbaric medicine. He is also American Board of Wound Management and American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery certified. Dr. Lynch is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia.

The Floyd Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics provides specialized, comprehensive treatments to help problem wounds heal. Services are available to hospitalized patients, as well as to outpatient, home care and hospice patients.
