One driver has been cited for running a red light which resulted in a collision involving two other vehicles in Rome around 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
According to the Rome Police accident report, eyewitnesses at the scene said a Kia Sorento was traveling from Shorter Avenue onto Turner-McCall Boulevard in front of Floyd Medical Center, when it ran the red light at the intersection.
The Kia then collided with a Honda Civic and a Ford F150. The driver of the Kia, identified as Karen Orellana – and the driver of the Ford F150, Anita Richardson – were both listed as receiving non-life threatening injuries in the crash meanwhile the driver of the Honda Civic – Christopher Lee, escaped injury.
Orellana was ticketed following treatment for her injuries.
