A portion of Highway 35 was blocked Friday morning, due to an 18 wheeler accident which took place just after midnight (12:15am/Friday).
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the big rig, which was hauling a load of steel, went off the roadway on 35 near County Road 718 just outside of Gaylesville.
The road is shut down from the Gaylesville Four-Way Stop to the site of the accident.
the driver of the 2015 Freightliner identified as Omurzhanov Adlet was fortunately not injured in the mishap and no other vehicles were involved in the mishap.
