Driver Escapes Injury After Crashing into CVS Pharmacy Building in Summerville

CVS 100

Incredibly no one was injured in a single-vehicle crash during which a pickup truck crashed into the side of a CVS Pharmacy in Summerville, Georgia on Sunday morning.

The accident report has yet to be released but according to eyewitnesses the vehicle left the roadway in a curve on Highway 27, barreled across the parking lot of a BB&T Bank Branch, then slammed into the CVS building.  Due to apparent concerns over any possible structural damage, the store remained closed Sunday, with the exception of the drive through window on the opposite side of the building.

The accident remains under investigation.
