Driver Escapes Injury After Vehicle Exits Roadway And Flips In A Flooded Creek In Leesburg On Thursday

A local resident lost control of the car they were driving on Highway 411 near Deere run on Thursday evening. According to Leesburg Police the vehicle went over the guard rail and flipped upside down in a flooded creek.
 
The vehicles On-Star notified Cherokee County 9-1-1 dispatch. The driver was treated and released on scene. Leesburg Fire and Centre Police both responded to the accident. According to Leesburg Police it is believed that heavy rain fall was a factor in the accident
 
411 was shut down for an extended period of time while wrecker crews removed the vehicle.
