Early Morning Fire Causes Minor Damage To A Gaylesville Residence

An early morning fire caused some minor damage to a residence near the Gaylesville Four Way Stop on Saturday.

Initially, Gaylesville, Cedar Bluff and Broomtown Firefighters were dispatched to what was called in as a structure fire, Gaylesville Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene as the log cabin is located directly across from the Gaylesville Fire Station.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze which started after the homeowner dumped hot ashes from his fireplace into a bucket and they caught fire.

The Cedar Bluff and Broowmtown Departments were at that point cancelled while en-route, fortunately and thanks to the quick response of firefighters the building suffered only minor damage and no one was injured other then begin shaken up.
