Elderly Woman Involved In Accident Dies From Injuries

An elderly woman has died from injuries sustained in a two vehicle wreck Wednesday on the Alabama Highway.

90-year old Minnie Hall passed away Saturday morning at Atlanta Medical Center, according to Deputy Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor.

According to Floyd County Police, Hall’s Toyota Camry pulled out of a driveway onto the south side of the highway near Martha’s Iron Skillet into the path of a Nissan Frontier, which was traveling east bound in the outside travel lane.

The vehicles collided in the highway with the Toyota continued on through all lanes of traffic, finally coming to rest in the inside westbound lane.

The Frontier came to rest in the parking lot of the Marathon store. Neither of the two teenage occupants of the pickup was hurt.

Hall was taken by Floyd EMS to the hospital and then transferred to Atlanta Medical Center.
