Elm Street School In Rome Vandalized

WRGA NEWS| Rome police are investigating multiple incidents of vandalism at Elm Street School. According to police reports, Principal Dr. Joanne Moss told officers on Thursday that the school has been vandalized on a near nightly basis.

Someone threw eggs at the rear of the school that faces Ethel Avenue and broke one of the double paned windows. Multiple windows have been shot with a BB gun or pellet rifle, leaving holes in the windows.

The school also had to replace a gutter spout, shrubbery, a tree and multiple terraces because someone had either ripped them from the ground or damaged them beyond repair.

Dr. Moss requested that third shift patrol conduct directed patrols in the area for suspicious persons and vandalism.
