EMA Director Urges Continued Common-Sense Safety Precautions in Fight Against Spread of COVID-19

During the Tuesday morning COVID-19 News Conference which got underway shortly after 10:00am, Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers began with the very latest data for the county:

The primary focus of the day’s news conference was that new directive from Governor Kay Ivey and the revised “Safer-at-Home” Order which went into effect Monday, and the need to continue to exercise common-sense safety measures:

Alabama’s COVID-19 Data & Surveillance Dashboard, which provides real time information on the number of confirmed cases across the state and county-by-county along with factors including the number hospitalized thus far and number of those who’ve unfortunately died as a result of the illness – is posted on the front page of our news site.

We’ve also posted a poll giving the public the opportunity to share their opinion on opening up the economy – is now the time / is it too soon / or is it too soon to tell.
