Emergency Crews Respond To Two Accidents In Cherokee Co. Just Minutes Apart On Monday

Just before 2:00 Monday afternoon Cherokee County emergency personnel were called to the scene of a two vehicle accident involving an 18 wheeler and an SUV taking place at the intersection of Armory Road and the East Chestnut Bypass in front of Centre Fuel City.

The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital by Cherokee EMS for treatment of injuries while the driver of the big rig was uninjured. Centre Police and Firefighters, Cherokee EMS and Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene.

Just moments later a single vehicle rollover was reported on County Road 128 just off of County Road 71 with the Mt.Weisner Fire Department, Cherokee EMS and Sheriff’s Office deputies in addition to Alabama State Troopers responding to the scene.
