Some thunderstorms will likely become strong to severe by late this afternoon and into the overnight hours, with the highest threat area across the northern and northwest counties.
Changes from previous forecast: Enhanced threat area expanded to northeast Alabama and minor timing changes for today. Included risk of a strong tornado across far northern (Enhanced) areas.
